Gah I love this show. And I’m a little behind with my recaps. I’ll catch up.

And…it’s a new News Night! And it’s off to a…shaky start. Great storytelling in following up the high that was the first episode with a low like this one where everything that could go wrong seems to.

Love Maggie’s story about her ex - and for the record, I probably would have gotten under the bed too. What does that say about me?

LOVE the fallout. Inviting three incompetents to speak on a subject like anti-immigration. The professor. The pageant girl. The shotgun dude. Will doing his damnedest to lead these three along and failing MISERABLY because they are just that ignorant.

Sorkinese of the Week

Jim: First you look over the questions the producer put in the rundown. Identify yourself and your news agency, summarize the segment, the length, whether it’s live or not and who we’re having on from the other side.

Maggie: I’m sorry, but don’t I first open my eyes and notice it’s a new day?

Jim: What are we—

Maggie: I’ve done this before!

Jim: Okay.

Maggie: *looks at computer* What is this magic box in front of me?

Jim: Have I done something to you?

Maggie: I swear I was just thinking the exact same thing. I have no idea why I’m being mean to you.

Jim: Now that you know that, do you think you’ll stop?

Maggie: That’s the thing, it doesn’t feel like it. I’m just being honest.
